چکیده
Abstract Regarding porosity formation and gas content, choosing the appropriate shielding for laser welding is essential achieving high-quality joints. Keyhole-induced tendency nitrogen content in SS 304 stainless steel welds were investigated based on gases during fiber welding. Beads-on-plate autogenous made at 5 kW continuous wave (CW) N 2 Ar mixtures. Optical metallography, micro-focused X-ray, X-ray radiography, high-speed images of molten pool used to investigate formation. In addition, a analyzer was study weld metal content. The results show that significantly impacts reduction melting zone increases dissolved solidified metal, as using pure leads an increase by 36% higher than base metal. contrast, it has almost no significant effect keyhole mode.

Evolution of Microstructure and Residual Stress under Various Vibration Modes in 304 Stainless Steel Welds
Simultaneous vibration welding of 304 stainless steel was carried out with an eccentric circulating vibrator and a magnetic telescopic vibrator at subresonant (362 Hz and 59.3 Hz) and resonant (376 Hz and 60.9 Hz) frequencies. The experimental results indicate that the temperature gradient can be increased, accelerating nucleation and causing grain refinement during this process. During simulta...
متن کاملRadiation-induced Segregation and Void Swelling in 304 Stainless Steel
. Void swelling and radiation-induced segregation have been measured in 304 stainless steel. Samples were irradiated in the outer regions of the EBR-11reactor where displacement rates of 2.OX10-8and 6.6 xl 0-8dpds are comparable to those in pressurized water reactor components. Samples were inadiated at temperatures from 371-390°C to total doses of up to 20 dpa. Void swelling reached a maximum ...
متن کاملCompressibility of 304 Stainless Steel Powder Metallurgy Materials Reinforced with 304 Short Stainless Steel Fibers
Powder metallurgy (P/M) technique is usually used for manufacturing porous metal materials. However, some P/M materials are limitedly used in engineering for their performance deficiency. A novel 304 stainless steel P/M material was produced by a solid-state sintering of 304 stainless steel powders and 304 short stainless steel fibers, which were alternately laid in layers according to mass rat...
متن کاملInfluence of nitrogen ion implantation on the nanostructure and corrosivity of Ni/stainless steel substrates
Ion implantation is a surface modification technology to produce new material on the surface by impingement of high energy ions from the ion accelerator. In this work, AISI 304 stainless steels were coated with 90 nm Ni film by electron beam deposition and implanted by a flow of 5×1017 N cm−2 at 400 K temperature with different implantation energies of 10, 20, 30 and 40 keV. The prepared sample...
